Makeshift Monday

Happy Monday! Only one more weekend until Christmas, and I still have lots of shopping, baking and wrapping to do. Yikes!

I always look forward to the Holiday issue of Food & Drink ; there are always great (relatively easy), festive recipes.

Here is one that caught my eye this year:

Mistletoe Sangria

To a pitcher or punch bowl, add 2 oz spiced rum, 2 oz cherry brandy, 1 bottle (750 mL) red wine, 1 cup cranberry juice, 1 cup pomegranate juice, 1 cup lemonade. Add 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup pomegranate seeds. Stir to mix.
Pour into glasses with ice and garnish each with a sprig of mint.
Makes 8 to 10 drinks
