Well, here we are at the start of another week. It’s hard to believe August is only a couple of days away – the summer is flying by.
Friday marked the beginning of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, in London, England. I was only able to see part of the opening ceremonies but was impressed with what I did see.
The opening ceremonies also included appearances/performances by James Bond (Daniel Craig), Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) and Paul McCartney. Personally I enjoyed the opening ceremonies in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games more, but as a Canadian I am biased.
The Games are in full swing, and Canada currently sits with one medal (Bronze) thanks to divers Jennifer Abel and Emilie Heymans in the Women’s Synchronised 3m Springboard. Great job ladies!
Lets go Canada – bring home some more medals!
China is currently in the lead, with a total of 12: 6 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze.
I hope you all have some time to sit and enjoy the Olympic Games this week. 🙂
